Nearing my 1000th post.

Wow! I just realized: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm nearing my thousanth post. So, what does that mean? Nothing. Oh well, I'm just a fan of numbers and dates and things to be remembered.

Speaking of things to be remembered, me and my freeloading friends went out last night to see the Eraserhead's "final set" concert. Well, I doubt it would be their final set since they pretty much raked in huge money. Anyway, my kumpare Rico was in the VIP area. Well, I should be too, but I opted not to get any tickets because gigs are different without my freeloading buddies. I was with them on my first gig (POD tama ba? Di ata ako kasama non?), first summerslam, etc.

I could have spent a few thousand bucks and get to see better view but hey, what's done is done. Last August, we were late and Ely was rushed to the hospital. We heard a few songs while finding a spot to park but when we finally found one the concert was done. This time, we managed to listen to most songs.

It was great - Francis M. tribute (they could have sang the whole song but I guess you can't completely render a song without practice even if you're the eraserheads), MINSAN, Huling El Bimbo etc. The finale was Huling El Bimbo with matching fireworks display... it was great. We were about to go since net leaks says that it was their final song but after a few minutes, Raimund called the members back for an encore.

When Ely said that it's "Three for the road", everybody shouted like little girls in a Backstreet Boys concert. They played three songs, Toyang was played for the last song. Ely went to the audience and handed the mic to one of the fans. What's funny is that I think Ely forgot some lyrics? I can't tell. But hell, it was a blast.

And the best part? We didn't spend money. Well, 25 pesos for the parking fee. Hahah.
