Dear John...

Since Linda is leaving the PH back to California, she gave us her things - Coffee maker, blender, dvds, books. Since I am a big fan of books, I got a couple books from her. The first one is a Nicholas Sparks novel, Dear John. It's my first time reading a Sparks novel and I know that it will be too girly for my tastes, but I read on nonetheless.

I've never read anything cheesier than this - words like 'forever' and 'arms' are countlessly used in this book. It really is super cheesy that I smile in annoyance whenever I read lines from the book that is so cheesy, it's amazing. And this is coming from an army grunt no less. Haha. I have no idea why I finished this book, maybe I enjoyed it? Nah...

Ok, so this book is so simple - John, an Army grunt, met a girl Savannah whom he fell in love with in a matter of two weeks during John's summer vacation; now, how annoying is that? Ok, so from that third paragraph first sentence, you'd make out that it's about the struggles of a long distance relationship.

At any rate, the book is an easy read. I will not elaborate on the story but I'll tell you, it is so predictable and not at all touching... well, for me.
