Domabaem Review

Yet again, a friend coerced me to buy this Korean movie in Ruins (by the way I also scored Omerta by Puzo for a ridiculously low price of 85 bucks) since I so wanted to kill the time yesterday Sunday before I actually go to sleep.

Anyway, this movie is about two kids who met back in time when dating should not even touch their kiddy cute heads. The girl is a wierdo who says she has a 'curse' so she wears a canary yellow rain coat all the time so to protect the people around her. She also claims to be an alien and in the near future aliens will abduct her or something so she could be sent back to her home... or something like that.

Of all her classmates, only one kid is not afraid of her. And they instantly become friends. After hanging out a lot and having dibs on the 'curse' of the girl after (YET AGAIN) another Korean rain scene, the girl went away because she's guilty of having caused pain to her only friend.

Essentially, the boy looked for the girl but failed since it's hard to find someone who doesn't want to be found. After some years, when they're in High School, they met up again. Like old times they hung out and had a lot of cheesy scenes where the guy cajoles her endlessly using sushi and other cheesy stuff.

Anyway, after all the cheesy shit, the girl got all giddy and kissed the guy, so the guy ended up in a Hospital again. So the girl, pretty torn up, ended up running away again. Oh, man! Ok, so after 8 years, out of the blue, the girl shows up again, and here the tear jerker moments start...

The movie is good, I mean, great, save for a few cheesy shit that inevitably comes in the way. The story is quite unique and very touching, especially the scenes halfway the movies. I admit that sometimes, I have no heart (lols), but I was touched. And yeah, I almost cried like a little girl in Backstreet boys concert on that climax scenes.

Watch it!

PS: And time and time again, in every single Korean movie I watched, there's always and always will be a friggin' rain scene and piggy back rides. As in ALWAYS. WHY I ask, WHY? Lols.
