KFC Tradesecrets

Once again, the KFC boys, yet again, had another hunger attack and decided to attack KFC once again. I found out a little secret. If you buy the set meal (i.e. Combo meal number 1), it is much cheaper than buying seperate pieces.

Because of my stinginess, which, of course, is inherited from my double-stingy mom, I reckoned I would just buy a piece of burger and large fries which will amount to 63 pesos. Then I asked if what's the price if I buy a pepsi. She said it would be just 68 pesos or less. She slipped. Now I know KFC's monopoly. Their tactics.

Gump and Co. book review.

Just finished Gump and Co. book a while ago. The first time I had my hands on the book, I was amazed. I did not know that Forrest Gump was a book, let alone, that it has a sequel. Anyways, I sailed through the book at ease because I was interested to see what happened to Gump. There were some ambiguities with the movies. So, it brings me to conclusion that book to movie adapatation really sucks.

I searched the net and found out why they didn't make a sequel to the movie because the author sued the film company for not giving him what was his on account that the movie was "not successful" so he protested not to give the producers a chance to film the sequel on account that "it's a shame to produce a film that is a sequel to a 'not successful' movie."

Anyways, the book was mighty fine. Funny and dramatic at times. My only gripe was that it was too short!! I had some time laughing at the bus when I go home from work, with people curiously looking at my direction. Yeah, I just wish there's a book 3. But hey, the book is so good, it made me... cry! Joke.

One line striked me the hardest:
Memories are what counts in life, when there's nothing else left, it'll be memories that means everything.

It is lines like this that makes cleenex stay in business or bidness (as forrest puts it). Or is that kleenex?
