HKG Invades Subic.

HKG went to Subic to enjoy the nature and let the good times roll - well, this trip got the best of us, it has the highest high and the lowest low of traveling. And oh, I forgot to mention that this trip is expensive. Damn Toll fees! No to Toll fees! And GAS! Oh, I can't begin to tell you how much gas you need to feed a CRV.

Anyways, before I rant about the number of tolls when you go to Subic, I want to just give Subic and Richard Gordon a well deserved tap in the back, that place is so clean (and strict) - one of our plans was to drink and be merry but when we arrived there, it seems that rules were so heavily enforced there that we were even afraid to bring out a plastic cup and run the traffic light! Well, you need to do a full stop in every stop signs there, which, by the way were soo numerous.

Ok, then we wanted to hit the beaches, no, not swim on beaches for we don't have extra shirts or disposable briefs for that matter - but go see the beaches. Well, we just followed the signs and to cut the story short - it was scary. Yeah, twilight zone scary. To get to the beaches, you have to navigate through eerie roads. There was this instance where we were navigating this long curve then boom - a blue, eerie light shot out of nowhere, I tell you - we were scared out of our wits - then I tried closing the window, because a jeepers-creepers might get inside the car, then, the unthinkable happened - the windows is not closing!!! Holy mother of pearl! I don't know if it was because of my panic - that I pressed the window button down, when I meant to push up, but that moment was so scary! Hahaha... Apparently, that blue, eerie light was just a sign for some establishment.

But what the hell - the roads was still frightening. Then we went to the beach (which I forgot the name). The sign says that we were entering the beach premises but lo and behold - there was a solitary gate there, it was all dark and scary and there was a sign that says that we turn right. It was a circular path then I just don't want to gaze upward and look at what lies ahead, we just decided to go back but the sign that says One way. What the hell, we just shot pass the sign and went back to where we came.

Logic betrayed me because of the scary stuff that's happening. Then the guard that checked us on our way there was GONE! Waaaa... I'm telling you, Subic is haunted. Now, SBMA stands for Supernatural and boring, Metropolitan Authority.

Ok, I won't tell you the other atrocities we chanced upon there. We got lost and kept running in circles. Then we decided to go where it was safe - the redlight district of Subic where lights were friendly and there are scantily-clad babes running amok. Ahem. Well, at least there ARE other people here. So we parked and drank and watched Diehard 4.

Sun was almost showing, itching to bake us to oblivion and we decided to go back. Ah, nature, though your crazy-scary, we still have our smiles etched our faces and our pockets, a deal lighter. Yeah, it was fun. Fun.

But what the hell, I am not coming back.
