As The Wings Of Perfect Flame Glow Out Of Passion.

This country never ceases to amaze me.

Okay, I have watched Da Vinci Code a little while ago. During the movie, I've realized some parts of the book that failed to be realized at the movie. I know this is a common scenario to book to movie adaptations, but I felt the urge to stress this out.

But firstly, I want to also stress the stupidity of the people who rated this movie R-18. How many minors do you think will be able to understand the wordings in this movie? Even I, who happen to have a certain level of grasp in the english language, needed to double check what I am hearing. How in the world minors comprehend english accented conversations? From my experience, I have watched VHS of mature movies, and I have no idea what they are talking about - for I am still a minor. I just watched the pictures and get a grasp of what's happening thru watching the actors doing their thing. What I am telling is banning the movie from kids who can't comprehend Da Vinci Code's dialog is plain - stupid. They can't also ban the movie for the fact that they show gruelling scenes involving Silas who's torturing himself so, accodrding to the movie - to show pentance to his sins. But according to the book, this self mutilation and flaggelation is for the person involved will have the means to remind him that he is still human and he has no means of acquiring divine providence.

There are a number of hits and misses in the movie. Of course, like I've stressed out before, this is intended for general audience who are just in seek for old plain entertainment. So the producers included some action scenes that are particularly not related whatsoever to the book. Also, some minor sections of the book were not included. Minor things like in the book, it was said that Robert Langdon is a Harrison Ford lookalike, while in the movie, he was played by Tom Hanks. Hehehehe. Ok, to be serious, the part of Walt Disney as a part of the Priory is not included. The interesting part that is said about Little Mermaid was adopted from Mary Magdalene and some works that shows a hint of the Holy Grail Quest. Of course, including these misses will make the movie longer. But of course, who am I to complain.

In summation, the movie is a bore. And the hype given to it was stupid especially to the people who have read the book and the people who have higher understanding of what really the book means. This movie is just a typical thriller that has been given a strong contreversies. So, banning it is just stupid. In the end, it is up to you what to believe. Come on, is there such a thing as walking on water? Wait until Angels and Demons and you will really have a hard time understanding your faith. There are lots of things to say, like where does God's image come from? It came from Zeus, the flowing white hair and white robes. And Jesus' sacrifice for the whole world? It came from the Aztec's Quetzacoatl sacrifice to save his race. The list goes on. It goes to show that Religion as we know it is derived from other religions. It is just literatures and science proved that there's no such thing as walking on water, something out from nothing. etc. Laboratories have recreated the story of Creation but in a much smaller scale. So that leaves a question - if science can't recreate Creation in a bigger scale, (because in creation, you need a immensely large source of power) who has this power that can create universe? This question has been really debated eversince and it goes to show that what others say as literature might be really true.

In the end, it is up to you what to believe.
