Order of the Phoenix review.

Yeah, though I hate book to movie adaptations, yours truly watched Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix last night.

As expected, the plot is super riddled with ridiculous loop holes. I especially hate it when people around me ask the people they are with questions like - "Diba yun yung..." or when someone will correct their oblivious friends with a stupid answer they only got from the previous movies which, of course, is wrong in delivering facts as well.

As an example of these scenarios which makes me lose interests in these movies is when a couple a row behind me was arguing who the hell that goblin-like creature was. One said it was Dobby (the house elf of the Malfoys in the previous iterations of the book) while the other said, giving up (obviously not knowing the answer), said it was fuggin' "My precious". Obviously, he didn't know Kreacher and obviously, he only watched the LOTR movie to miss Gollum's name as "My precious".

Sigh, people never change. If it is the fad, they'll go watch it. I know it is the goal of the author's to bring their books to mainstream but when it goes to the movies, some of the essense of the book is washed off.

I found lots of it in this movie. One of them was when the D.A. (of course, poser movie goers will not know this acronym because it was only mentioned once in the movie) was discovered. Right folks, it's when DUMBOLDORE'S ARMY was discovered. It was not Cho Chang (of course, posers don't know her last name is Chang) who divulged the secret to Dolores Umbridge. It was Cho's friend Marietta.

For obvious reasons, (if you happen to read the books you'll know) that the movie made Cho talk about it because she has no longer any use in the next book because Harry's love interest will be Ginny. It was a perfect way to get rid of her. So the oblivious "fans" who only knew the story from movies will raise their heads up and say - "Ay, kaya wala na si Cho kasi nga diba chinuchuchu niya yung Dumboldore Army?"

Well, all in all, the movie is entertaining at the least. I can piss you around by telling how it did not remain faithful to the books but hell, I won't. Basta, there are lots of stupid story loopholes that cannot easily get away.

If I were you, read the books instead and get angry at those CAPITALIST bastards from WB.

Jeez.
