Screw your Pop Culture.

Two days and Da Vinci Code will be on screens nationwide. I really have to smirk when banning issues are on the rise. Say, do you really think that banning the movie will do anything good? Okay, I will give you a classic example - Noli Me Tangere. Banning a certain movie or book is primarily like adding wood to the furnace. Can't these people think? Anyways, this Da Vinci Code issue is on the scene, like, 3 years ago? Shempre, the movie elevated the issue to next level. Come on, I hate to burst people's bubbles, but this issue has been packed and consumed already. Dan Brown has his third novel for chrissakes.

Another gripe is, come on, banning? It is like making the movie sell even more. Have you heard the word - pirating. Come on, if this banning issue comes out here in our country, the "pirates" will be like hungry sharks waiting for the kill. Come May 18 and all your favorite DVD stands will have a copy of this movie.

I cannot blame you people for being so in to this type of culture where you explore things if it is a popular thing already. I bet my ass that after this movie, the next hype will be Angels and Demons. It is really pathetic. And why not try reading for a change. I bet my ass for the second time that this movie will dissapoint the book's first readers a few years back. Of course, book to movie adaptations, more often than not, sucks and it is more boring than your saturday afternoon cartoons.

Try reading people. You will learn something. Jeez.
