This two forked road.

Life is like a long highway to eternal life. It is made up of long roads, connected to each other, ultimately ending up in your final destination which is the life after death.
All of us have come to a point in their respective lives where they stand dazed and bedazzled in a two forked road. An instance in your life where you have to choose between two hard choices, one making you happy, and the other making you feel otherwise.

No one knows if the road you will undertake is the right one, but as long as it makes you happy, then you should do it. There are also some instances that you will take the road to infinite sadness because you feel that after that road, there’s a junction out there that will make you happy. But it’s a risk you have to take. Everyone takes risks like daredevils you watch on TV. But in life, taking risks is often connected in suicide. Life is so uncertain that taking risks can be suicidal.

As you stand in another two forked road of your life, a flurry of images swarm in your head. Will this decision make you happy? What’s in store after I take this road?

Time will give me signs on which road to take, but what’s important is following your heart. The mind benefits if you choose the right road over the wrong one, and the heart is the one who enjoys it when you choose the happy road over the sad road. But what if the two clashes in a battle of decision? What road will you take? Which one will you follow?

Some would say you should follow the mind, but some would say that you should trust your heart. You can choose the wrong road that will make you happy or the right road that will make sad. Ultimately, it’s still your choice, and facing the consequence or benefit after that is for you to encounter.

God said: “To be happy, you should be humble and honest.” It is the heart’s job to decide whether you’ll stay humble and honest - that will inevitably make you happy. But the mind’s logic says what’s right or wrong for you.

In the end, it’s your choice.

Yet another two forked road loomed its way in front of me. I stayed in this part of my highway of life for quite some time now. Now it’s time to choose between the two: The wrong road that will make you happy or the road that will make you sad although intellectually, it’s is the right one to take.

As I’ve said earlier, life can be canned in three words – it goes on. I cannot stay in this junction any longer. Inevitably, I have to choose. Which road to choose? I still wonder.
But in the end, what’s important is following your heart and making things right.

Sakin lang yun, ewan ko senyo.

Amen.
