HKG goes to Nasugbu.

HKG went to Tagaytay yet again after watching co-HKG Matthew's gig in Nightwish bar. The gig was cool, there was Grin Department playing. I was a fan way back them when I was a snotty kid and seeing them still kicking is nice!

So after the gig, like I said, we went to Tagaytay (the Car was ransacked by the Manila Police for we are suspicous looking characters). We arrived there probably at 5am. The sun was shyly peeking at the east. At 7 am, we decided to go home, but then the sudden thought of going to Batangas (since we're in Tagaytay already) came. Then one rapid thought came after the another and we suddenly decided to go swimming - yeah, we don't have any clothes with us by that time but we still go for it.

Batangas is cooler than Tagaytay. Fogs are everywhere, wild Horses and Cows on the roads. Feces on the middle of the road. Yeah. Then in Nasugbu, we noticed the scarcity of the Gasoline Stations. In fact, there was NONE. And we're running low on fuel, and we are in a middle of a top a hill. The last one we saw was too much far from our current location that we decided to take risks and thread on forward.

We kept on asking questions from the folks around and they said that there were no Gas Stations nearby. But there were Gasoline selling sari-sari stores. So after having our car gas-ed up so we can thread back to the Gas Station from the outskirts of the city and Gas up there. After Gasing up, we found an ukay-ukay in the town and bought for ourselves extra underwear, towel, shorts. We ate breakfast too so we are ready for the Beach!

We went immediately to the Beach to enjoy the sun and people there. No sun blocks, no water, no everything. Just our bags. After some hours, the meat of the story happened:

There's this rope thingy on the deep part of the be beach. We grabbed it and pulled so we could get to the other part of the beach (survior style). I was left on the ropes alone because I am too lazy to exert too much effort to pull myself and everything.

I got to the end of the rope and noticed that my friends are on their way back to the shore. The rope is cut off. I was surprised because I thought I can use the rope so I can just pull myself to the shore. All my energies are drained from like an hour of pulling that damn ropes which has its end cut off. I have no idea on how deep this part is so I kept myself buoyed there.

Panic has struck me and I didn't hear Bryan's shouts. He was saying that I should stay there and get some rest because this part is really deep. What I did, instead of going back to where I came, was I kicked as far as I could and freestyled my way to the shore. Out of energy, I tried to plant my feet to the ground but there's nothing there. So I kept on paddling to keep myself afloat. I swam again and still there's no ground.

I felt the panic intensify as I kept paddling there. I was shouting to the guys for help but they seem to be caught up in a situation themselves. I did no further observations on that and I just kept on shouting. I can feel the last amount of strength leave my arms and legs. I gave up and I slowly drowned...

I gave a little leap upwards and I saw Bryan and Matthew running to the life guards. I kept saying to myself that they can help me instead, why get the guards? I swallowed amounts of water and I thought this was teh end of me. Yeah, seriously. The force of the water constantly pulls me down. I was about to give up and I saw Cloz sitting on the shore, who is quite looking strange sitting there when there was a drowning friend ready to die.

I called him and asked him to get me. But he is not moving an inch. I saw Bryan and Matthew stayed with Cloz and Bryan is shouting that I should relax. Well, that saved me. I laid my head back and tried to float. And float I did. But there's a problem, my arms and legs cannot paddle out anymore so I just stayed there for them to help me get out of there.

I just relaxed. Minutes seemed to pass but there's still no signs of the guys. Then after quite sometime I saw a life guard from their little boat throw a life vest at me, I grabbed it and got myself pulled up by the man. I sat there, panting. One of the guard was asking if I was playing all along? Come on! I thought I was a goner there and I will act that one? He was telling me that I was really not drowning from the looks of it for I was floating - come to think of it, I only drank water twice. I just kept on kicking out. So I wondered, what do they want - I got myself drowned first before they help me out? Then the other guy pointed out that Cloz was also drowning and Bryan and Matthew were helping him get to shore. Cloz is a big guy and it took most of Matthew and Bryan's strenght to save him. So they just got the Life guards for me.

Whew, I really thought I was a goner.
