Ok, I have to rewrite and gist this post from my original entry since my goshdarn dial up connection broke:

I went home yesterday and learned that my mother has a new aspire laptop. I think he wooed (lambing) my father and coerced him to buy her that. Which is pretty disturbing since I have no idea that it wooing still works for people their age.

Anyway, my father giving someone (now I know the reason why we don't have decent meals these past few weeks. JOKE! ) a laptop is pretty shocking and is a feat by itself since my father is as computer literate as a new born child. Hehe. The laptop is pretty high end for my standards and is a welcome addition since I will not be saving up for a laptop or a desktop computer. I was planning on buying one so if the need to bring home work arises, I will not be empty handed.

It was my first time using VISTA and it's pretty snazzy, but it's still rough around the edges. I still prefer the old timer XP. Anyway, no qualms about that. So I've borrowed a flashdrive from the folks here at the office so I can install tools on the laptop and since we still have a primitive dial up connection at home, it will take forever to download those.

Anyway, enough with that laptop. It's primarily one of the reason today that I am pleased with my mom for the first time for the loooongest time. Haha.

Last night, my iPhone earphones finally snapped. It's been an incident waiting to happen. It's inevitable, so it's a welcome prospect. Last night, I took the bus home. Since I am maladroit (clumsy, new word for you reader :D), I snapped the jack. Everything happened in slowmo, myself sitting on the back chair, the chords wrapped around on the adjacent seat, and the sound of the reverberating 'SNAP' of the chords. I was planning to intertwine it back but the cut is literally at the jack so even electricians cannot patch this one up.

I remembered that there was this PSP, iPod shop near RFC so I can buy a cheapass earphones for the meantime since iPhone earphones (with the mic and track forwarder) is nowhere to be seen here in Manila and I have to buy it online (which is NOT cheap considering it is only a goddarn earphone). To my surprise, there are already chinese made earphones that are compatible with iPhone (jacks longer than usual). And not only that, it also has a mic for calls and track forwarder. The booth guy told me that it is only a mic but when I tested it, it also forwards track. Anyway, after I was 500 petot poorer, I went home.
