Malas ni manong.

This morning, I was not as early as usual because I did some other things before I went out for work. So I was pretty lucky that there were a few shuttles left at RFC. I did the math and I'd be at office at 8 or 8:30-ish. Which was really my plan since today is my mom's birthday and I don't want to miss the foodtrip.

Unfortunately, when we were at Coastal road, the shuttle's left side tire at the back exloded - not just punctured, giving out a little hiss at the process, but boom-exploded. I was pretty oblvious at first since I was trying to catch some sleep and I had my earphones plugged to my ears. Then I felt a violent wiggle and the people were in panic. Too bad I missed the whole panic process, because when I opened my eyes to get what's happening, we were already at the safe grassy lane. Seriously, I was pretty scared myself to see the panic on people's faces.

Anyway, the driver asked us to get out of the shuttle for a few minutes while he replace the tire. The tire was cut. Like I said, it wasn't a puncture but it was cut lengthwise. I watched the driver replace the tire. Because he was rushing, the metal thing that is used to take the car up cut his face and he was soaked in blood in few seconds. He disregarded the cut though the ladies were begging him to do something to it. He was rushing things up so the metal thing slipped out of its grip and the vehicle's body almost crushed his hands. This happened at least three times. Then there was a knowledgable guy who taught the driver where he should put the metal thing and finally, he was able to replace the tire.

Well, everyone thought that we were finally Ayala-bound once again, but when the driver took out the metal support thing, we all saw that the replacement tire was flat too. The driver apologetically gave our money back and hailed a bus. I got to office at almost 10. Yeah, too bad.
