Damn you succlent, sweet, tasty pizza!
So there I was, fatigued and hungry. Waiting in line at the Shuttle terminal. Smoke from vehicle mufflers billow and pirouette everywhere. Sounds blaring from all direction. I plugged my earphones and I tried to woo away all the distraction. I am quite pleased at myself for having eight to ten hours of productive work plus add the fact that I lost a pound in three days.
But a thought keeps on knocking on my proverbial mind's door. For days I overcame all the desires of myself having a perfect food trip - a perfect pizza to be particular. But I can't help it. It seems that the heavens are throwing signs everywhere. I saw a Yellowcab Pizza advertisement truck on the traffic few feet from me and a Yellowcab flier discarded on the ground I saw earlier.
"This is torture", I thought to myself. I have categorized myself as a person who always act on his whim. And having to put away urges like this for the past month or so is a complete torture not only to my bodily functions but to my ego as well. Add to the torture that I have to wait in line for a damned Las PiƱas shuttle. Waiting is on my top five hate list.
After twenty minutes or so, I got on the shuttle homebound. I tried to sleep but I know, I just know that a pizza slice will enter my dream. I can imagine things such as myself on a hamster wheel running at a pizza on a string, myself flying in the skyline (ala West in Heroes) with a Pizza Claire Bennet and a lot more stupid thoughts.
After an hour I got off the shuttle and where do I find myself? That's right, the Yellowcab place near our tricycle terminal. But I pushed all the thoughts of eating my Claire Bennet. I have to mind my diet. Feeling upbeat because for like the third time in my life that I countered my whim, I have won against impulse! I got home, patted the dog, and took a night bath.
I sat in front of the TV finding interesting channels while waiting for sleep to enter my thoughts. Then I stopped short on a talkshow that pictures hamburger and fries on the background TV screen. It's the Oprah show and it has Dr. Oz as guest. He was talking about diet and some dieting facts (?) like when your poop is letter S, it means you got your proper fiber intake (I got no time to look at my poop everytime I poop because I flush it right away so...), that if you lose 35 pounds you'll gain 1 inch length in you-know-what-i'm-referring... and other stuff.
But the dieting fact (?) that I found interest in (aside from the 35 pound thing :)), is that you can reward yourself every now and then after losing a few pounds. Without any pondering or whatever, I grabbed the phone and dialled the Pizza hotline and ordered a Pizza.
Thanks Oprah. Hehe.
