Juno
Watched Juno last night. It's a great movie. Funny and witty at the same time. Movies like these are pretty rare in nowadays.
Juno is the story of, well, Juno, a 16 year old Junior who got pregnant. She considered abortion but got cold feet when she got to the abortion place. Then with the help of her best friend, Juno decided to let some nice couple to adapt the child. This move, for me is so selfless and if ever this Juno character is real, I'd have big respect for her.
Anyway, along with the course of her pregnancy, Juno's struggling to fight the feelings for the father of her child which she doesn't know was there. The guy, obviously, is in love with Juno though he doesn't want to admit it. He soon began planning on dating a girl whom Juno said that would be a perfect match for him, but when the time came that he actually did date the girl, Juno got pissed off... well, that's one of the corny, cliched part but it's acceptable.
Juno also began friendship with the couple who would adopt the child, especially Mark, the guy. They both have tastes for classic punk and gore movies. This is the part I didn't quite get - near the end of the movie, Mark dumped his wife, Vanessa because he says he wasn't ready. This was after when Mark said one time that the CD they were listening (and dancing along with it) to was the track played during Mark's prom... Ok, I don't know if Mark has taken a liking to Juno, a 16 year old... it's creepy.
Anyway, after a big fight, Juno left a note on the ex couple's door telling Vanessa that if she still wants the baby, she's in. Then she delivered the child and left it to Vanessa and Juno took strength to admit to the child's father that she love-love him and they lived happily ever after.
