Cold Turkey.

I've been fighting the fucking urge to smoke. So far, I am successful. After 4 days, I know I am on my first few steps to being straight-edge. What's funny is there are claims that the hardest part is when you are like months into being clean living... I am just on my 4th day and I must admit I am readily wanting to punch a random stranger on his face.

Strange title?

Well, actually, Cold Turkey* is fighting an addiction. I've learned it when I was browsing the T.V. years ago and I saw a T.V. show with a funny name - well, at first I thought they will be going to dress themselves in Turkey threads complete with a Turkey-head visor and crow all they want around camp and time will come when they will fight the other Turkey tribe...

Errr, well, kidding aside, so far, I've been true to my promise of fighting my smoking addiction. There have been times when I saw people with Cigarbutts for heads ala 40 days and 40 nights*. My throat is like so phlegmatic right now (spelling check, spelling check) and I can really use like 10 sticks...

But no! I must stand firm of my decision! The dudes who joined my Healthy Living Club are doing great - Rico, my kumparde, is doing better. Bob, a dude who works with me here at office is ok (I reckon he sneaks a smoke every now and then... but still, I guess he's doing good). Anna Mae, the first one who I coerced into joining me in my Club, says that she's doing great. Judith, well, I know she's doing GREAT because I know she can't risk smoking... and the many others who will want to follow my calling...

A nice technique I formulated while doing this thing is drinking a lot, I don't know why but it really helps, I have scoured the internet for tips but alas, nothing...

I can do this!

It's confirmed! Bob had cigs just a few minutes ago!! Who's next? Nahhaha..

*Cold Turkey is also a single from the super band, The Plasitc Ono Band, yeah, with Lennon and Ono, and the insanely great Eric Clapton. I think that really coined the term Cold Turkey.

*That movie with that dude from Pearl Harbor along side er, whatshisface... Ben affleck? Yeah, that dude.
