Been to greenbelt chapel yesterday to hear my masses. The Gospel is about the two S's of christianity. To serve God, two S's is necessary. Sacrifice and Suffering. He related about the story of the thornbird - A bird who sings beautifully if it strucks its chest on a protruding thorn on a rose bush. It just says that to to be your very best, you have to be hurt. This is suffering. He also related the story of a young boy who's sister was diagnosed because she fell down their bike and she needed a transfusion. The doctors asked the young boy if he could lend his sister blood. The boy agreed. All the while, the boy knew that in giving blood, he would die. With this knowledge, he still gave his blood to his sister. This is sacrifice.
