Chuck and Larry Review.

Wow, it's been a long time since I've had a lot of laughs in a movie
since... I can't remember. This movie has delivered and not because
of the gay-oriented bashings, but how things were delivered.

For the record, I am not a movie fan of Adam Sandler because all he
does is make funny noises and make himself look ridiculous to be funny.
But in this movie, he delivered.

The guys at Happy Madison really scored big time in this. I remember those extras well for they have appeared in countless Adam Sandler or Rob Schnieder movies. Just a trivia, Happy Madison is from one of the first movies of Sandler - Happy Gilmore and Something Madison.

Anyway, this movie is about well, Chuck and Larry. They are best friends till the end and they are macho Firemen. Wtf? Ok, so Sandler is this huge celebrity in the Fire extingushing world because he appears in Calendars and stuff. Then his bestfriend is just the average bestfriend who can't move on after his wife's passing away. He has two kids and one of them is gay... er, do I have to mention that?

Anyway, after a Fire broke out in some part of town and both of them came out injured, Larry had a realization - no one would take care of his two kids if he bites the dust. So he researched about parenting priveledges and stuff, and since Chuck owes him big time, Chuck gave in on his demand that they should have Domestic Partnership because Larry couldn't find a woman whom she can trust.

Ok, so the fun begins as they cover up as a gay couple. They have to appear as the gayest couple they can be. They bought gay records, redecorated homes and stuff. Of course, things won't go on all the way in their way, investigators will come and inspect if they are really gay. This guy from independece day (the lunatic one) stars as the inspector who investigates Chuck and Larry's trash bin for signs that they are gay enough.

So, they had to have an attorney to confide in issues about their gay partnership. Unfortunately, a super hot Jessica Biel was their attorney whom Chuck cannot get his eyes off. Well, who can't, with those rock hard abs, er... ok enough with that. So things went on pretty rough as Chuck begins to massa... er, fall for Jessica. I thought the gay-friend-get-free-access-to-girl-friends work only here in the Philippines, but apparently, I am wrong, it also works in the west.

They have to fortify their relationship so they got married in Vegas, I think.

Ok, so long story short, then comes the trial. Feelings got mixed up and all hell breaks loose as signs shows up that they weren't gay. In the end, of course, they lose the case, but they were pardoned for doing the most noble thing.

The lesson here is not the gay bashing but standing up for your friend, yes, if I have a best friend and he would ask me that - well, hell friggin' no, but I would help him. Because we're buddies. Unfortunately, I have no guy best friend and if I ever had, I am only twenty one and I our age cannot have children, can't we?

Ok, this is going nowhere, so... just watch it.
