Ah, life long question - answered.
Where did hotdog come from?
We were asking ourselves that this lunch. Then I witfully volounteered that hotdogs came from worms. Well, that's what I've been told. See, we are exposed to the net the whole day but we did not bother looking for the answer at google or something. So we formulated theories on this question:
I told them that during the metamorphical stages of a worm, they turn to be hotdogs in the end*. The actual hotdog we buy from the store, you know, the one packed in red plastic, are actually live worms. Yup, that's right, and we have no idea that when we slice little slits on the hotdog's body, we kill them in the process, so it's possible now for us to eat them.
Yeah, hotdogs are such a wonder, it's so versatile that you can cook them any way you want - Fried, adobo, grilled, sinigang, nilaga - and the list goes on and on. Then we ignore worms, we stomp at them if we are so inclined. But they provide us with hotdog which is our favorite breakfast on mornings.
*Egg -> baby worm -> teenage worm -> adult worm -> hotdog.
